mySteelYard.com is owned and operated by Northern Resources Cooperative, a northern Minnesota based organization specializing in agronomy products, bulk fuels, and metal materials. Operating since 1934, Northern Resources Cooperative currently employs over 70 people working out of 5 locations.
In 2010 a decision was made to expand the exisitng cut-to-order metal department into an online business. In 2011, mySteelYard.com was born, offering a wide selection of steel products available for immediate shipment across the US. Initially targeting hobbyists and small shops, mySteelYard.com's fast and user friendly website soon became a source of steels for all sorts of organizations and individuals.
Due to high demand, mySteelYard.com began offering aluminum products online in 2012.
